By removing the dead skin cells from the surface, the exfoliation paves way for new ones. A great exfoliator such as baking soda removes the dead skin cells but doesn’t damage the new growth underneath. If you want to improve the quality of your skin and make it glow, you should try the following homemade remedies which can make your skin smooth.

Baking soda and water

Baking soda can exfoliate your facial skin and clean the excess dirt and oil, effectively preventing acne breakouts and unclogging the pores of your face. To make a homemade baking soda exfoliator, mix some of the powder with warm water until they form a paste, then apply it on your face and massage in small circular motions. Rinse your face with warm water after 15 minutes.

Baking soda and ground oats

A combination of baking soda and ground oats can be a powerful facial cleanser, and is made by adding the oats in a mix of equal amounts baking soda and water. The ground oats should be about 1/6 of the baking soda and water mixture. Apply the mix on your face by using small circular motions.

This amazing combination will exfoliate your face and even get rid of problems such as dark circles under your eyes, but make sure you apply the mixture under your eyes and prevent any contact with them. In the end, was your face with warm water and you should see immediate improvements.

Baking soda and lemon

A baking soda and lemon combo can exfoliate and disinfect your skin, as well as reduce age spots and clean the excess oil from it. In order to prepare the mixture, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar (granulated) into a cup, then fill a quarter of it with lemon juice. Mix the ingredients well, then wash your face and apply the mixture to wet skin. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, then wash your face as usual with lukewarm water.

Baking soda and coconut oil

A combination of baking soda and coconut oil will exfoliate your skin and moisturize it at the same time. This mixture works great against dry or inflamed skin, and is easily prepared by mixing equal parts of baking soda and coconut oil.

If your skin is sensitive, you should double the amount of coconut oil. Apply the paste on your skin and wash it off with warm water after a couple of minutes. The results will be breathtaking!
