I absolutely love this DIY project, and I can attest to how amazing the end result is — because I’ve done it myself!

In a video tutorial courtesy of The Green Workbench, learn how to color tint mason jars. Mason jars have become incredibly popular over the past few years in the realm of home decor. They’re adorable, and can serve many purposes — great for storing items and as centerpieces or vases at parties and rustic-themed weddings. You can even top them off by wrapping string or twine around the tops.

Take a clear mason jar and color tint it to the antique blue look (or any color you would like). Materials needed: mason jar, decoupage glue (Modge Podge), plastic cup, food coloring, wax paper or tin foil, and an oven. It’ll cost you a couple dollars at most, and the whole process involves just a handful of simple steps.

The results are simply gorgeous. My favorite color to paint these jars with is bright teal :)
