From her commendable philanthropic work of winning an Oscar, Angelina Jolie is a woman who has time and again inspired millions of individuals. Apart from her kickass professional life, her personal choices have always made us respect her.
According to confirmed reports by the BBC, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is now all set to join the London School of Economics (LSE) as a visiting professor on a new masters course on women, peace and security. Yes, you read that right!

This one-year course for which she will be a visiting faculty will have various modules in the syllabus that includes topics like Women, Peace & Security, Gender & Militarisation, and Gender & Human Rights. LSE itself announced this big news on Monday. According to LSE, this course is all set to begin in 2017 and this first of its kind course will be run by the LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security which was launched last year by Jolie herself and Britain’s former foreign secretary, William Hague.

In a press statement, Angelina Jolie, who is also a special envoy to the U.N. refugee agency (UNHCR) said:

“It is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict. I am looking forward to teaching and to learning from the students, as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the United Nations.”
William Hague collaborated with Jolie two years ago at a summit in London for eradicating sexual violence during war. Both Jolie and Hague co-hosted the first global conference on the issue in London in 2014.
