Turmeric is an amazing spice which is mostly used in the Chinese and Indian medicine. It is a well-known fact that this spice contains powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

That is why it is used for treating flatulence, chest pain, jaundice, hemorrhage, colic, toothache, blood in the urine, bruises and menstrual disorders.

It is proven that turmeric is so beneficial because of its active ingredient- curcumin and that its anti-inflammatory properties are stronger than the common drugs.

The best thing is that unlike the common remedies, turmeric has no side-effects.

The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric can help in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s diseases. It is also effective against rheumatoid arthritis and cystic fibrosis.

Furthermore, it can help in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, reduces bad cholesterol level, keeps your heart healthy thus protecting it from heart diseases and stroke. It also maintains proper liver function.

Turmeric is used in the treatment of:

Joint Pain– Mix Himalayan salt with turmeric in a ratio 1:2 and then add a little water. Then, apply the mixture to the affected area. Wait for 20 minutes. Repeat this every day and  the joint pain will disappear. Although turmeric may leave yellow stains on the skin, it can also effectively reduce swelling.

Disinfect Minor Cuts and Wounds– After you, clean the wound well, apply turmeric and then wrap the bandage around the wound.

Natural Pain Killer

Natural Food Coloring in Baking– Use a small amount of turmeric to color the food you are preparing.

Longevity Tea– Prepare a turmeric tea and add honey or ginger for better taste. The tea can help against many medical conditions.

Reduce Stomach Ache– Turmeric helps against stomachache.

Antacid– Add a teaspoon of turmeric in 4 cups of boiling water if you suffer from heartburn.

Anti-Dandruff Salve– Prepare a mixture of coconut oil and turmeric and massage your scalp. Wait for 15 minutes and then wash your hair as you usually do.

Glowing skin–  Mix ⅓ teaspoon of turmeric, with 1 whisked egg white, and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice.  Apply the mixture on your face, wait for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off.

Sunburn relief– In order to soothe the red skin; just apply a mixture of turmeric and aloe Vera gel.

Teeth Whitener– Turmeric is used for teeth whitening! Mix a teaspoon of turmeric, 3 tablespoons of softened coconut oil, and 2 teaspoons baking soda and prepare a paste. Brush your teeth as you usually do.

Foundation– Add this spice to tinted moisturizer if you want to even your skin color.

Facial Mask for Dark circles, Acne, Rosacea–  Mix a teaspoon of water, a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of turmeric to prepare a natural mask. Apply it on the face, wait for 3 minutes and then rinse it.

Chemical Free Tie-dye– Fill the pot ¾ with water and add 5 teaspoons of turmeric. Boil it and then leave it to simmer. Put wet fabric in the pot and leave it to simmer for about an hour. Afterward, leave it until it dries and your fabric is successfully colored!

Homemade Soap Coloring– Turmeric adds color to the skin.

Bake a cake– Turmeric is commonly used in cooking.

Homemade, Putty Coloring for Children– You should mix salt, oil, flour, water, and cream of tartar, and add beets for red, and turmeric for yellow color.

Add to your dishes– This spice will make your meal colorful, it will spice up the popcorn and will make your eggs taste better! Just add it everywhere you like!
