10 Quick And Easy Exercises That Will Leave Your Eyes, Feeling As Good As New

Do you spend all day staring at the computer screen? Does your head hurt at the end of the day because your eyes are tired?
If so, then these exercises are for you. Try to do them every day, when you take a break at work. Don’t worry, they’re easy and won’t take long.

1. Blink continuously for two minutes.

This helps improve the blood circulation to your eyes. Try to blink more often while you’re working as well.

2. Look from side to side without moving your head.

Keeping your head still, slowly move your eyes to the right, then to the left. Repeat 10 times.




3. Close your eyes and move your eyeballs upward and downward.

Without moving your head, and keeping your eyes closed, slowly move your eyeballs upward and then downward. Repeat 10 times.

4. Roll your eyes without moving your head.

Keeping your head still, slowly roll your eyes clockwise and then counter clockwise, 10 times in each direction.

5. Lightly press your temples with your fingers.

Place your fingers against your temple and maintain pressure there for a few seconds. This improves the circulation of intraocular fluid. Repeat 5 times.

6. Draw shapes with your eyes without moving your head.

Keeping your head still, draw triangles, squares and other geometric shapes with your eyes.

7. Squeeze your eyes shut for a few minutes and then relax.

This relaxes your eye muscles and improves blood circulation to the eyes. You can even tense your whole body while squeezing your eyes shut and then relaxes. This will help release the tension in the rest of your body along with your eyes. Do this 5 – 7 times.

8. Rotate your head while staring straight ahead.

Fix your gaze at a point in front of you and keep staring at it while you rotate your head first clockwise and then counter clockwise, 10 times in each direction.

9. Focus on something close by and something far away.

Look at something close to you for a few seconds and then shift your gaze to a further object and focus on that for a few seconds. Repeat 5 times.

10. Close your eyes for a few minutes and just relax.

This helps dispel the strain in your eye muscles.
